Quartz Mountain Animal Hospital has been serving the Scottsdale area for more than 30 years, offering high quality, caring veterinary care.  We are a full-service hospital with in-house laboratory testing, x-rays, ultrasound, dental, surgery, and more.  Our clinic is spacious, quiet, and clean.  Our waiting area is spacious, with room for curious dogs and kids to explore.  Our exam rooms have space for pets and family.  We even have dedicated exam room for our feline friends! 

We know that our hospital’s convenient location is a bit tucked away.  This gives us peace and quiet and safe parking lot, but please check the map below or call for directions!  We’re across the street from Fry’s, near BellyRubz and Chada Thai.  We’re the first right after the bridge if you’re heading east on Via Linda.  If you’re heading west, we’re the last driveway on the left before the bridge.

Our pets rely on us to keep them strong and healthy and at QMAH, we offer the best preventive care to keep them healthy throughout their life.   • Dr.
    Diego Fernando Florez

    Dr. Diego Fernando Florez was born in Colombia, South America, in his young years he traveled with his father and visited many farms and he became very familiar with cattle and horses. He pursued his love for animals and decided to go to veterinary school as his uncle did previously. Dr. Florez graduated from the University of Caldas in 1994 and then practiced large animal medicine in Colombia for many dairy and beef farms. He later moved to New York City and started to learn about small animals and decided to take the National Veterinary Boards and obtained his license in Veterinary Medicine.

    Jessica Richardson

    Dr. Jessica Richardson is an Arizona native and 2015 graduate of the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Her interests in veterinary medicine include end of life care, geriatric care, behavior, dermatology and dentistry. She is currently pursuing certification in Animal Hospice and Palliative Care as well as Rehabilitative Therapy (physical therapy for pets).

  • Betsie

    Betsie is a caring and valuable member of our team. Her passion for animals and the care she provides to the pets at our hospital are outstanding. Betsie is an Arizona native and has lived in the Valley all of her life. She's worked in veterinary medicine for three years and provides top quality care to each and every patient. She is especially fond of Chihuahuas and pit bulls owning 6 dogs of her own (5 Chihuahua crosses and a pit bull!) Her bubbly and upbeat personality brightens the hospital and makes each day better. We're very happy she's joined our team and know she will help make your experience at Quartz Mountain Animal Hospital a great one!

  • Sydney

    Sydney is a recent graduate of Carrington College. She's been learning a ton with us and we are very proud of the caring, efficient, and passionate assistant she is. Sydney has a lab cross who is the light of her life. She's recently come to Arizona but grew up on a farm in New Mexico. While on the farm, she was surrounded by chickens, cattle, dogs, a parrot and a pony. Her smile and good cheer liven up the hospital. We're very proud to have Sydney as part of our team here at Quartz Mountain Animal Hospital.

  • Meg

    Meg's background is in Assistance Dog Training in the non-profit world. She has trained and cared for many dogs for service work. She is our new receptionist and is eager to learn all aspects of the field. She is married and shares her home with 3 dogs and 2 cats.
